Virtual Dressage Test in aid of Bank End Equine Rescue.

Open to any rider and horse combination – no experience necessary! Open to everyone so get your yard / friends involved too – they do not have to be a member of HHO.

The classes:
Class 1.
BD introductory A (walk and trot test)
Class 2:
Prelim 7
Class 3:
Novice 25
Class 4:
Elem 44.
Class 5:
Prelim 7 – without a horse!
Entries to be judged on turn out, execution of movements, energy and expression of paces!

All classes £5 – ALL proceeds to go to Bank End Equine Rescue
Rosettes awarded to 6th place in all classes.

The rules:
Any bit to be allowed plus martingales etc if required.
All tests to be conducted in a 20 x 40m space (ménage/ arena or field) with letters clearly marked.
Test to be videoed by someone standing 4 metres back from C
No zoom or telephoto lenses allowed (therefore basically seeing what the judge
at C would see).
No editing of the test
Test to be transferred onto a DVD and sent to address supplied by Ovidius along with entry fee, name of rider and horse, HHO name if appropriate and class(es) entered. PM Ovidius for the address
Cheques to be made payable to Bank End Equine Rescue

ALL entries to be received by the 26th June 2009.
Results will be announced on HHO on the 3rd July 2009.

Hm. On the grounds that my horse hasn't seen the inside of a school, never mind a dressage arena, for nigh on eight months (and she's bobboed anyway), think I'll just be sending the £5

Question: what if you can't get four meters back from C? Our school (am thinking daughter might do on Little Cob), is positioned such that it has a road one end and buildings etc at the other...

Note; the 4m back from c is a guide to try to ensure that the camera is set up as much as possible to give the same view as a judge would have.
In cases where this is not doable then please just do the best you can do.

excuse me Mrs M, never mind just sending the deep sea diver, you can enter the class where you don't need a horse and entertain everyone!

Ovidius is judging to all entries must go to her.

For those of you with problems videoing 4m back from c then just make do from where you can and send a note explaining where it was filmed from.

For those of you wishing to enter you can also send you £5 via paypal to bank end rescues website. If you add a note to say that has been done on your DVD Ovidius will check with toni.

Only just seen this - will get doing.

Will you need 'enteries' as it were before or is just sending the disk when its done ok?
 
Sounds great! Do we have to dress up like you would for a competition or is it ok just to ride it in normal clothes? Also do we get sent back a test sheet to see how we've done afterwards?
 
We wont be ordering test sheets, as firstly we are keeping costs down and we dont know how many we will get in each class!!! However I will do a page on a word document to correspond with the test and the movement numbers and write the mark and comment - however you will need to enclose a stmped addressed envelope so that this can be returned to you!!
Am looking forward to endless hours of fun watching dvd's in the evening!!!

Be very careful what you copy, BD has copyright on all their tests and I believe it would be illegal for you to copy them, this is one of the reasons they are such an odd size - to prevent people copying them.

Copying tests is illegal so be careful girls, you never know who you can trust these days!

The reason certain people are now questioning Bank End is due to the fact that I have now exposed a witch hunt that these members are a part of. I won't get into it on here and I will leave it up to you all to decide what is best for you to do.
