Hi all
Can you tell me a good PALATABLE broad spectrum vitamin and mineral supplement for a fussy 4yr old, please?
Surely there must be some out there that horses don't mind eating, aside from Equivite, which I don't want to feed her?
Thanks in advance

Our just-turned 5 year old goes mental for those Horslyx vit/min supplements that you put in a holder in the stable...

...he's only on forage and handful to Happy Hoof to keep him trim and I think this supplies everything else he needs.

Goddam sticky though....hope yours isnt a grey, My older lad ends up with it on his knees and all over his face......

a friend of mine feeds hers a global herbs multi vitamin supplement called Globalvite - its in liquid form and her horse who is a bit picky doesnt seem to mind it. not sure about price etc. may be worth a look

I feed my fussy mare, NAF's Seaweed supplement, she is very fussy and can sniff out any foreign substances at 100 yards, she Loves this one, and she looks fantistic on it, her normally fine strandy tail has suddenly had a growth spurt and is fuller and thicker, her coat is gleaming and her eyes sparkle,

Poppymoo - she is a grey, and field kept so that might not work

Murphybar - I tried her with the seaweed supplement - she said no.

CGG, Damn, and Ester - I'll look out for the NAF supplement, and GLobal herbs when I feed shop today.
Thanks all

Benevit - have used it for years - on offer from Feedmark most of the time. Seems to have everything they need.

When mine are going through growth spurts (and at 5 they still are) they do drop a bit of weight and muscle from their topline so I switch short term to equilbra 500 which really does put the muscle back on them. However, they don't need this all time - maybe once or twice a year for a month or so.

I have used benevit on both the youngsters and my golden oldies. For those who drop weight and don't have the best guts, combined with equimins pro-bio was the perfect solution for my two old TBs, very effective and far cheaper to use than a lot of other products.

I use equimims (sp) ultimate feed balancer. Its a broad spectrum vit & min supplement plus has pre and pro biotics. Its available in powder or pellet form. My 4 seem to be thriving on it, they are out 24/7 with additional forage. My old mare is quite fussy and will actively seek out the pellets of this and eat leaving the chaff behind. I get a big bucket for 32 pounds, that does my 4 about 4-6 weeks
