Hi I have a Border Collie who is 7 this year eats really well and gets lots of exercise but over the last few weeks i have noticed her looking a bit older. She gets up a lot slower and finds jumping in the car a little more difficult. I was wondering if there was anything i could give her like i give my old horse cortaflex?

A friend had a GSD a few years ago with exactly what you describe after watching my dogs some gentle suggestion and some dithering he put her onto a raw diet, it was like seeing a new dog, she was nine at the time and could not jump in the car. Once on the diet she was still jumping in the car at 12. He was a complete convert and was preaching raw to anyone who would listen!!

You can give joint supplements but nutrition is important as the supplement will have to fight against any deficiencies in the diet.
