Just wondering how you became aware of this @Velcrobum? It hasn’t permeated locally (although of course people are rather distracted by higher profile cases at the moment)
I volunteer at a lot of BE events and have done so for a considerable number of years. I also volunteer at the Cotswold Cup. I had noticed that Vittoria had not been at events she has regularly been at in the past bringing on young horses. Last year she had the ride on some of David Howden's horses who are now with other riders. I was curious so googled her name and the FEI status appeared.

It’s amusing me that last night we were being told not to speculate about the CDJ suspension and then I see this thread and apparently it’s ok to speculate about VP.

Maybe wait for the statement as you advocated yesterday 🤔
In this scenario though, there was no suggestion of a statement being made, it did seem to have gone by largely unnoticed.

That said, I did a quick delete of something I posted earlier that may have unintentionally led to speculation.

Awww a snipe at me as usual there @Rowreach - I have personal experience through direct personal observation in this instance which I didn’t in the other, hence a different perspective.

If my posts test you so much I’d suggest ignore user….

Why such a long suspension for human drug test? I undeserved if it was the horse bur what impact would the human have resulting in 4 years

It's particularly odd when compared to the French rider's case, who missed three in a row, and was initially banned for 3 months, which was then increased by CAS to 18 months.

I had a quick google and can't find anything related to missed tests that would equate to a four year ban but WADA's website/docs aren't the easiest to read.

It's the Italian federation who have apparently imposed a 4 year ban which is far higher than a FEI one. Absolutely ludicrous for allegedly 1 failed to attend test - jockeys only get 6 months for testing positive for cocaine!

Fingers crossed the appeal goes in her favour as 4 years will annihilate her business.

Interesting it's the national committee that's come down harsher than international ones. Making an example of? Different rules if you're funded by the Italian military? Four years is a long time.
