Vocal commands - good or bad?

On hacks and in the arena I can go through the paces up, and down only using my voice. Can cause problems when having a dressage test called for me. Have to say trot as two time and canter three time. That was when I first owned him, now he only listens to me at competitions.

The voice is a very useful tool in emergency's.

I have entire conversations with mine! She was owned by a lady from England, and I find that she responds better if I talk in an English accent.

I think clicking and vocal commands are fine - I draw the line at shouting or swearing at the horse, mind.

I also have entire conversations with mine too, although my irish accent needs some work :D:D
