Does anyone have a horse by voltaire? If so what are they like?
I have one by voltaire and all she has done is jump. I would like to take her eventing. Just asking if anyone else has taken any of there's eventing???
Thanks everyone

My lads grand sire is Voltaire and he won at BE100, would be a rosette machine but we weren't any good at Novice - I was told that Voltaire horses could be spooky, he isn't particularly he just wasn't the bravest with water. We now do dressage - although I'm sure he could jump at a reasonable level but it doesn't appeal to me. He has won at BD Advanced Medium and hoping to progress to PSG this year. Realistically he is too big a mover to be competitive at the higher levels eventing anyway.

Thanks for your message back this one is a grade B Showjumper called Verania she's the sweety horse standing at 17.1hh she's a little spockey out hacking! I would like to event her just don't know if she will do it!

i have a mare by vechta x flagmount diamond who is by volitare. she is 17 .1 gorgous and loves to jump and can jump big. bit wasted on me as I only wanted a hack and a horse that I could jump locally for fun. she is not spookey at all , or marish, is forward going but at same time very civil. loves to work . she d be well fit for eventing loves cross country and enjoys all the work, but I m not an eventer. yes they are great blood.

My lad is only 16h! He's a mini compared to yours! He was extremely bold with ditches and very straight with accuracy but wasn't a water fan. We may have kept peresrvering if it wasn't for the fact his real natural talent is his dressage (and he enjoys showing off)
Often show jumpers that move to eventing can be very good if there bold enough, I know a few who started sj but moved to eventing and very quickly climbed the levels. It's worth a try especially if you really want to give it a go - no real reason why she won't be good - you willl only know until you try.
