thats what the ban didrighting wrongs is still the right thing to do.
thats what the ban did
Let's hope they don't waste parliamentary time on it.
Agreed. Quick, one line bill. "The Hunting Act 2004 is hereby repealed in all its parts".
Um.........
Yes well im a hunting supporter who wishes they would just be thankful for what they have and stop the political ping pong it does nobody any good . If its a priority for TM she may even lose my vote as its getting ridiculous. Grow up and move on or next time round you will lose it completely!!!!

Is it really as unpopular as many seem to try to make out.
After all, Tony Blair had to use the Parliament Act to get the bill through parliament, not exactly an example of democracy. At least with a free vote, the outcome, whichever way it goes, will be democratic.

. Pennyturner this country is already divided and her mantra of strong and stable........and the country is behind me........is nothing further from the truth. The fact that she will not debate one man....and then she expects us to believe she can debate with the EU, demonstrates how much out of her depth she and the government is. The Tory government thought the EU agencies will stay in this country...the European drug agency for example.TM has to put it in the manifesto, but it would be a disaster to allow it to distract from more pressing business. Absolutely the last thing the country needs is division, .....................

No. It delivered a .... law that actively damages animal welfare.
Not sure where you are Ycbm, but we are also surrounded by shooting country where gamekeepers don't tolerate foxes. They use poison and snares mostly. As a result, the area is practically fox-free, but extremely hazardous to other wildlife and to pets too of course.![]()
I wish the equestrian community wouldn't keep pushing for the repeal. People can still hunt and get much of the same enjoyment out of it, it's encouraged new people to give it a go, and the rest of the general public are just starting to contemplate that we are not all stuck up fox murderers
I don't agree, and I don't agree because I live in one of the vast swathes of the country which have never been actively hunted by dog packs, where foxes are and always have been controlled by guns.
I am sad to see this in the manifesto, I think it's a mistake politically and in its own right.
If you voted conservative before what stops you doing so now? A free vote on the hunting act has been in their manifesto for years and was in fact tabled last parliamentary year only to be withdrawn when the SNP stated their intention to vote even though this would only have brought English law into line with the law as it stands in Scotland. Nothing is new now. If you voted conservative before this is what you voted for.

Agree. I'm sick to the teeth of it. So much so that now it's back on the table, I'm abstaining from voting, so that's one vote lost from a horsey person who supports hunting under law. People still hunt. They enjoy it. Why push to be allowed to do it in a crueler way?
They have only offered the free vote again ! there is no guarantee it would get repealed however there are far more important things need sorting which maybe your votes may help achieve
