vote on hunting after the next election

I wish the equestrian community wouldn't keep pushing for the repeal. People can still hunt and get much of the same enjoyment out of it, it's encouraged new people to give it a go, and the rest of the general public are just starting to contemplate that we are not all stuck up fox murderers

People cannot still hunt. Because of the ban the antis and sabs are out in force. They have totally ruined hunting in a lot of counties. It is no fun being faced with masked black clad people everywhere you go. A lady in our little village was scared to death when she met 3 balaclva'd men coming out of her garden when she got back from the hospital where she'd just been.
They are using the ban as an excuse for their trespass, threats to hunt staff and other antsocial behaviourp.

Guys we've already done this to death on two different threads in the last two weeks, perhaps carry one of those on instead of keeping the resuscitation going on an old one?

It is new news in the sense that there was supposed to be vote during this parliament (as stated in last years manifesto) , but Theresa May has just announced that this vote will not now happen

However its not news as you would have to be totally politically unaware to think there would be a vote!

There will only ever be a vote if they think they can win it. I am a hunting and shooting person but im afraid get very fed up with the few who are constantly thinking they can get the ban overturned. Realistically its never going to happen there is not even enough support within the parliamentary conservative party to overturn the ban. I really hope that they never ever mention it in their manifesto again as it does not help anybody and my firm belief is if they are not careful they will lose what they have if they dont let it lie.

I cannot see things changing

Many years ago dog fighting was legal as was cock fighting but times change

The job of MPs is to reflect what the voters want - does not always work out but in general it does
