Hi, after reading another post I have a few questions about my new saddle...

My horse amazingly fitted into one of the saddles that was brought out to try last week and I did buy it and it is gorgeous an Albion legend K2 VSD in dark havana. The only problem being it can only be used with a dressage girth. I do plan on doing some maxi cob classes with him when we are sorted out. Is it really going to be a problem as I dont think the straps can be shortened. Also, the saddler said that that system may be better with his 'shape'.

Does anyone else have a saddle that is not a dressage one but with dressage straps??

Thank you!

Its no problem, easier to delete I have no idea how to make them in the first place let alone make them smaller x

Thanks!

Why can't the girth straps be shortened? It may be worth discussing adding a balance strap (an angled girth strap which can hold a dsaddle in place) as this can help with some types of conformation. In the showring I think that the appearance of the low buckles of a drressage saddle fitting would be considered as setracting from the horse. Fussy I know but then that's showing!
