i have just bought these clippers second hand, and put them on my horses coat and they wont cut it just slide straight through, i have been told it is because he has a fine coat and need diff blades, does anyone else have these clippers is it worth me bying new blades

Blades prob blunt try getting them sharpened or get new ones!!!!!

Sounds like a blade problem......prob best to ring and speak to a clipper specialist and they will advise you. Clippersharp are always very helpful. PM me if you want the phone number.

Right i might be able to help here.

Take the blades off and look at where the top blade sits in the grove of the bottom blade. Can you see anything????

There should be a small plastic strip that goes over the top blade that rests on the bottoms blade!

I do mobile clipping and have these clippers and can do a whole horse with them if they dont like the bigger louder ones so they should be fine to clip a full clip on a fairly hairy horse.

I suspeect your plastic strip has gone this make the blade not cut even if sharp.
