wahl/moser artiko clippers

Bought a pair of these to do my thoroughbred who has a neck and belly and is too scared to have m big lister clippers on him.
They are brand new with new blades and could'nt get anything off at all they wouldnt go through his coat.He had a bath yesterday in our hot shower and hasnt got stacks of coat.
Was really disappointed as I tried one of my liveries wahl trimmers (the predecessor of the artiko withthe same size motor but with old blades!)....and it managed to get the coat off.

Anyone else had any experience?...they have the blades in they came with.
And I have been clipping for 20 years plus and have done 8 this week so not like i am an amateur

Funny you should say this... I know that Artiko has only a little motor (45watt), so weaker than my Avalon, but I had a similar experience with a new set of blades I bought recently!
I have 3 old sets and they do work just fine on every type of horse, for some reason decided to buy another set (I think I just like shopping ), they came in original packaging and obviously new, but are as blunt as blunt can be
Have you tried another blade?

No I have'nt got another set that will fit. The ones i used were the previous model wahl pro 45 watt motor that one of our liveries own and her blades had never been sharpened/replaced and they were stacks better.

What blades have you got on the avalon and are they fine/medium?

I use medium blades, don't really like the look of fine finish. The one I bought recently was Liveryman - they are snap on that are supposed fit all the snap on clippers, and they do fit, just don't clip
