Waiting for my Whippet

My long time friend and Y/O has bought me a whippet puppy! She is black and 8 weeks old today. I was supposed to be going with YO and his wife to get her today, but Y/O'S wife has cancer, and a very low immune system due to chemo, and I woke up with a stinking cold

I am now waiting for the phone call to say I can pick her up and I am soooo excited!!

She is here, she's an angel, she is sleeping now but has had a good rampage around the house. I have taken a few piccies and will get some of her in the garden tomorrow. My husband is besotted with her, he is looking after her tomorrow while I work, then I have 2 weeks off with her.
