Rather overdue on my worm counts so both ponies duly tied up and I'm sitting here waiting for poo. It's been very pleasant sitting quietly on this glorious sunny evening (we've had far fewer up here so the novelty hasn't worn off yet!) getting pony snuggles and listening to the swallows chattering and hay being munched but...... After TWO HOURS the novelty is wearing off! Given this pair are usually enthusiastic poo producers I can't help but think it's deliberate 😂

What's the longest you've had to wait? Any tips to speed things up? 😉

only 2 hours??? I get mine in on a Monday morning by 7am all in individual stables. Feed them, lots of hay (what goes in must surely come out :D:D) By 1pm I am often still waiting for the last 2. Always the same last 2.
Some of these are retired. Their only job for the entire year is to poo 4 times for worm count days. Surely it can't be that difficult :rolleyes:

It going to be a long evening for you 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Not sure whether to laugh or cry!

Do they hunt/understand what the Hunt? Play the hunting horn…

Or take one for a walk and leave the other there for a minute.
Ones just performed so he will be released in the hope that worries the other enough.....

Re the hunting horn good suggestion but no..... and my neighbours all think I'm barmy enough without catching me running around shouting "tootly toot tarroo" 🤣

When I worked in science and needed to identify individual poo samples from group living small furries, we used to feed them individually different coloured glitter or food dye. Nothing like searching for the right coloured sparkly poo in the morning.
For the horses, I stable them individually over night and collect the freshest looking poo in the morning.

I think pretty much every horse on our yard poos within 10 minutes of either being tacked up or setting off on a hack. Taker a poo bag with you et voilá. Poo!
