As post really, waiting for them to call me with a time to come and see Robbie.

Got him in last night with a gunky swollen eye - washed out the gunk with warm water, gave him a bute for the swelling and then rang the out of hours vetline.

My vet said i had done everything he would of done - minus the antibiotics he would give - and said it wasnt worth an emergency callout - phew.

So he is coming out today for with some antibiotics for the Robster.

Its not all bad as the vet coming out is GORGEOUS!!!
Not that Robbie will think so

Just a word of warning though guys - my vets said they are seeing a LOT of conjunctivitus (?) cases this year - spread by the flies - so get those fly hats on your neddies!!

O poor you... and poor Robbie. Hope he is more comfortable soon.
Well, while you're waiting... get a nice bacon sarny on the go for your lovely vet. Anything to prolong his visit...

There is nothing like a nice vet to brighten up your day!

My horse had conjunctivitis in May, so I would second the warning.

Love and hugs to Robbie Robster for a quick recovery x

the best was when i had said vet out to sedate a horse for clipping - needle went in, horsey slept - and then we had a power cut?????

cue chatting for half hour til it came back on!!
mmm - and i promise the power cut was nothing to do with me - i felt so sorry for my poor horse dozing and dribbling away!

Oh poor boy - at least you get to do some good perving! The Dartie gets it but I think its all the forelock she has getting stuck in her eyes - she looks like a show pony all plaited up!

Hammer and nails time this weekend - but if you could make Lex's legs the sort I can extend and retract (and his back for that matter) it would be really useful.

Big kiss to Lex from me please and a get well kiss to Robbie

My boy has a touch of conjunctivitis at the moment. So I have the pleasure of tring to get eye drops into him at the moment, how fun.

I've had the same pleasure with my girl recently. Almost at the end I got a great system. Put her headcollar on, stand on the leadrope so she cant get her head up like a giraffe and then you have both hands free to put the drops in. It worked well
