last week we booked for digby's vacinations to start today.....well they couldnt even give us a time of day, not even morning/afternoon tyo when they would be coming.
so they are expecting me to be on the look out for them all day??? is it just me that thinks its a bit ridiculous.....i have just rung them and they said it wont be morning..well thats common sense really as its nearly 12..and they should be getting "straight" back to me....but i still havent heard anything..

i dont need a specific time as i know what they do is fairly unpredictable in terms of how long it may take but a rought idea would be really useful!!

(just a small grumble..sorry!)
 
I know what you mean Fran, sometimes I get told 8.30 (I always try and get the first appointment so they can't have the "running late" excuse) and then they saunter up about 10 with not so much as an apology! Gits!
 
i will ring them again soon...thing is they were given my mums number to ring to let her know and shes at work so was going to ring me......but havent heard anything so they obviously havent rung...the receptionist was supposed to be ringing the vet and getting back to me...
dont get me wrong its not like i have a hectic schedule or a long drive/walk to the yard but its not really the point....and even if they were late i wouldnt get an apology/.
 
ARGH - last time vets came to me I was their first appointment - between 8.30 and 9am they said! Vet eventually turned up at about 4.20pm. I hadn't been able to go out and do my food shopping, or my christmas shopping or get more shavings. I had three horses unridden - all because each time I rang the vet I was told "He will be with you shortly - we'll ring if there's any change!"

Not a happy puppy!
 
Thats bad, Ive booked Mine for next Monday and Ive been given between 08.30 and 9am did this before and they call even if they are running 10 mins late... Where in East Anglia are you ?
 
North Cambs. All sorted now - there was a communication cock up in reception I think but I was spitting blood at the time - especially as the last time they were going to be that late they'd told me I wouldn't have enough light and please could I load her up and bring her in to them!
 
Ooops sorry FranA - I thought q was aimed at me and wondered how Accy knew I was in East Anglia!

well i have just heard from them and they will be here mid afternoon-and will ring 30mins before they arrive...so at least i have a rough idea now.
 
My vets always give me an exact time - they are usually a few moments late if it's an afternoon appt but they always ring if they will be more than 20 mins late.
 
its seems like its just me then!!

normally they state mornign afternoon and then ring before they come...if i was given a set time i obviously would mind if they were a litle early/late.

they still havemnt arrived, so hopefully it will tie in well with bringing the horses in.
 
My vets are usually pretty good..although with my last horse they were about hour and a half late by which tiime I was freezing and my poor horse had worked herself up into a sweat as she hated being inside for more than 10 minutes(literally)and was a nightmare for the vet to do anthing to! But as i said before they are normally very good with times etc give me an exact time
