Wales and west sold for housing

Just heard from a family member who lives very close to wales and west / david Broome event centre has been sold for 900+ Houses and a leisure/shopping centre.

it was apparently confirmed at a council meeting last night. So sad

Housing I can totally understand, regardless of how sad.

That's a real shame.

That is a shame, it's one of only a few decent facilities this side of the bridge and not long after the new arenas went in either.

Wonder if they've been getting less entries and it has become not viable financially?

Oh that's a shame, I remember competing there 30+years ago!

Shame as quite close for us BUT I don't go too often as find it almost impossible to find a decent, complete, calendar of events with easy entry.

When it was Mount Ballan. Think I junior show jumped there in 1976 ….. Not been for a few years but lovely arenas.

Not quite true it has been sold. It has been proposed along with other locations
