Why would you be wanting walk and trot tests?Sorry if its for a friend or young horse.
Had to laugh at Richard Davison in H & H again this week on walk and trot tests.
Daughter has a lesson with him this week so I am going to arrive and say she wants to train for walk and trot tests and see his face
Yes, it is for a friend's daughter on her 5 year old horse
The horse has never been out to a competition and they are just starting out together. She fancies having a go at dressage but he is not very balanced yet in canter so I suggested trying a walk and trot one to just get out and have a go. I am looking for an unaffil one really...
Please can you take a camera and video that one???
We did them [walk and trot tests]with Rafi at first and think it was good for his confidence, but would love to have RD on and tell him that is all she wants to do[ she won the lesson as the prize for getting the highest percentage at a show]
Sorry can't help in your area though.
Following your worries with your lovely horse ,good luck
I just cannot wait to ride her again! She looked so beautiful when she was in the air tonight, it reminded me of how special she really is. I am now 100% determined to get her to as a level as she is capable of achieving in dressage!!!
Having seen her move today when she was being a madam it just reminded me how athletic she really is... If she can do that now when she has only been out of surgery, just imagine what she can do when she is back in work (and hopefully her suspensory will have healed too when we go for the scan in a few weeks)
If you can get to the Wirral they do unaffiliated walk/trot tests at Foxes riding school and the Haddon riding club: Foxes
Foxes do special introductory evenings for novice riders & horses.
Haddon
The Haddon website hasn't been updated for 2008 dates but the comps are on every other Saturday and seem to start with a walk/trot test every time.
They're just a couple of ones local to me and are both very friendly places to go.
