Pony is coming back into work after some time off, so lots of walk work to begin with. He’s already bored, and would clearly far prefer to be doing everything at a canter.
So yeah, any favourite walk exercises to keep his brain busy?

Mine had a long spell of walk work and it was brilliant for developing him- do all the lateral work (shoulder in, shoulder out, quarters in and out, renvers, leg yield, half pass, walk pirouettes) and vary the walk, so collected, medium, extended and really nail the free walk. And halts, a million halts!

Rein back, rein back round a corner, side pass, pole work (if allowed) set 4 poles in a cross and start on outside of poles and spiral in so that they have to use their brains to work out the strides.

Walk over things, tarps, bridges whatever you can find that is safe
