This class is probly aimed at the super beginner riders or supper young and green horses, but I have really wanted feedback from a judge on how me and my pony could improve at the walk, which I feel like I really need before we move on to starting trot work. The pony is a very insecure, nervous type so we have been doing zero trotting, as she will just get totally out of control. She has been doing quite well at the walk though, except for quite a bit of spooking and eyeballing things, as well as sometimes falling into trot, but we are getting a little better every day. My trainer cant come until the spring, so I'm on my own, but feedback from a Judge would be really useful. But, the question is, is would it be appropriate for a 16 year old pony to ridden by a pretty experienced ridder, agenst beginners? Even if we would get last place anyway lol.

Why not send the video to your trainer and spend the money there instead? You'll get much more useful advice on how to improve your horse. Dressage judges will just say what they see, they won't give you advice on how to improve. Yes, they'll say things like "horse needs to be straighter" etc but that doesn't help you with the "how".

I've been doing dressage for years but nobody has ever said to me "move your legs back when asking for a downwards transition so your horse sits more" like my instructor did. Huge lightbulb moment and breakthrough last weekend! :D

You could post your video or use zoom/ online lesson with trainer or a judge (if you contact bd judges from the site) i am sure most will be happy to be paid to provide a lesson or video feedback.
