Hello,

I'm hoping to take my two horses to a dressage comp in August at Church Farm Shurdington (assuming Cheltenham dries out soon!) and am thinking of doing the walk-trot test as one is a baby and the other is old/arthritic and just wants a fun trip out.

Can anyone tell me what this will involve? I can't find anything which says what the order of moves will be! Or do they just tell you on the day?
Cheers!

walk and trot tests are often made up by the venue - I am going to one tommorow that is a bit of trotting around, a 20m circle on either rein, some half 10 M circles in walk and a change of rein in free walk. If you contact the venue they will be able to tell you about the test.

have fun

Im my walk trot tests I did at the end of last year through RC. I had three halts (for 4 secs) Give and retake in walk. and circles and turns and Free walk on a long rein

I done the walk & trott last week as i also have a young horse, i have all 6 walk and trot test moves, which one do you need. p.m me.

I'm in the same position, and took mine there on the 21st June.
There were LOADS of people and the atmosphere wasn't really that laid back at all. It's marketed as being for young horses/novice riders, but wouldn't say it was really suitable for either

Having said that, the weather could well scare everybody off going to the next one!
