Some photos from our walk yesterday. They get about 3 hours walking a day, and these pics were taken on our lovely 2hr long afternoon walk through the local farmland. Chloe and Riley are the labs, Delilah is the puglet and Maya is the basenji. Enjoy!

More to come....

I am spoiled for choice with the lovely walks around here! The dogs love it. Amazing really considering I actually live in a tiny new build house on one of those awful overcrowded new estates (you can just see the houses in the background of a couple of the pictures...Ruining the countryside :( ) so i really do appreciate the lovely walking I have.

Hopefully Maya considers herself to be a very lucky basenji! The majority of them dont get walked off-lead ever - show dog or not! But i have worked very hard with her on her recall and now she is rarely walked on-lead!! I think she would be a nightmare to live with if she didnt get several good runs a day so its for my benefit as much as hers lol!

What a super place to walk; I love the Maya running shots.

Can you please tell Delilah to have a word with Prince about off-lead walking--the concept goes completely over his smooshy pug head.

What lovely photo's I so wish I could find some walks like that where I am.

Can i ask if the puglet keeps up on such a long walk ?

Also I have decided to get a puglet girl in the summer and I was wondering if you could recommend any good breeders. I want her to be KC registered not because I want to breed from her but I generally think KC means all the correct health checks have been done. I also need a girl cos I already have a boy dog and want them to be bet mates.

Thanks for the replies!

Prosefullstop - Delilah is so funny, when im walking she is never more a couple of steps behind me, she's so well behaved! My pups are horrors though, as soon as they are off lead they scatter in all directions lol

LHS - Yep, Delilah keeps up on all the walks. She doesnt charge around with the others so much, she tends to just trot off and sniff at things that interest her rather than racing up and down the fields. But she certainly doesnt get carried or anything.

Be very careful when looking for a pug breeder. They need to be testing for hemivertebra (and be able to produce a vets letter confirming they have done this) and very few breeders are actually doing this. They will deny it is a problem in the breed, but it is unfortunately. Delilah has it, and she is from the top pug breeder in the country so it is a minefield. There are very few i would recommend, maybe google Ragemma pugs as i know they health test, but i dont know when they will be having puppies. I will be having a litter at the end of this year but thats probably too late for you! Dont discount a boy, 2 boys often get on better than a boy and a girl in many cases. I wouldnt advise 2 girls though as you can get problems with them fighting.

Thankyou for that, definitely things to be aware of. If I can't find a suitable litter in the summer I will give you a shout.
