Walking aroud the house in your mucky boots

Think you've been a fly on the wall in my house

I go mental at OH when he comes in wearing all his muddy lacrosse gear but its fine for me to tiptoe around when he's not there. Why we tiptoe is beyond me but it feels as if its making a difference

I am guilty of yard boots in house but only downstairs on the hard flooring.
My car is lovingly called the rabbit hutch by my work mates as there is a mixture of hay/ horse food and shavings in there, really does not have the new car smell!!
Also as we speak i have one outdoor rug in the washer and one hung over the maiden...... cant think why i am single PMSL.

My boots are off at the door, but later when I take my slippers off in the bedroom I leave a trail of hay & shavings from my fluffy socks & the turn-ups on my jods. It drives hubby mad!

Ah. Hm. Yes. Well. Hrmph.

We bought cream carpets for the whole house... within three weeks the ground floor was tiled and stripped floorboards

. Only unfortunately the stairs are, or rather were, still cream... Only yesterday I was admiring the very neat centre line - it looks like we have have a very posh striped stair carpet

The daughters like to devise new ways in which they can get upstairs to their rooms (two flights of stairs!), without their booted feet touching the carpets.

Think I'll be getting the cleaner out again this week...

No I always take my boots off at the door but it did get a comment from my OH last night when he said "why is there straw in the bed".... oops must have been when i got changed out of my farm gear, that straw gets everywhere...

I do take them off most of the time, but if I need to nip back in for something quickly I have been known to crawl on hands and knees with feet held upwards so boots held above the floor to get to where I want!

wellies no

riding boots, if theyre on and i've forgotton something i give them a good wipe then go quickly through the house - im not sure why my brain thinks tip toeing or running will do, less time boot on floor maybe equals less mess !!

I admit I walk in the hallway with my wellies on, change into my slippers and that's when all the shavings and bits of hay trail round after me and yes going out the back to get some logs in for the fire, I have noticed black footprints. Oh the shame!!!
