Walking youngsters out in hand?

How much is too much?
I've been taking Lukey(who is 19 months old now) out for little walks just to get him used to other sights and sounds that he won't see on our quiet little yard, but was wondering how long is too long for him to be out?
Must seem like a stupid question

, but I am presuming that with him being a mere babe that he'll tire easily?
Only take him up the lane and back at present(about 15 mins walk) but would like to take him a little further afield maybe once a week.

Is that too much for him physically?

i walk my youngster every day in the winter. my turn out field is 150 meter walk down a busy main road buses, lorries and bikes so he is bomb proof in traffic used to all sights and sounds but is still a baby when he is turned out. my circumstances mean i have to do this, but he is happy to see lots of different things. i dont think you are doing to much, other people may think differently?
 
that's not too much!! it's not like your lunging is it?! walking out in hand is fantastic education for youngsters, keep up the good work!

The more your youngster experiences at this age, the less fussed he will be as he grows up. I say keep it up, you'll know if you are overfacing him or going to far, he will soon tell you. Next week he will be classed as 2yrs old !

Off out later on a walk with him taking him abit further than before so I'll see how he goes. He's usually very laid back so I'm going to take full advantage of that! Our yard is so quiet I was worried that he wouldn't have the opportunity to meet anything 'exciting' hence the walks.
