Selling my body wouldn't work for me - I'd end up in debt. Unless i sold it for spare parts, which would rather defeat the purpose of selling it to be able to aafford a horse in the first place

Gosh that brings back memories. Fifteen years ago a lovely chestnut gelding came onto our livery yard and I fell in love. I suddenly realised that if I stayed in my crappy Civil Service job I would never be able to afford two horses. So, I left my crappy job and set off on a journey of other crappy jobs until 15 years later I have a fantastic well paid job and a husband with the same AND I STILL CAN'T AFFORD A SECOND HORSE !!! Love the one you're with, or win the lottery. X

Well, I never meant to have three...the Shire x was a fostered foal I felt sorry for...
But all you single horse owners - rejoice - I have to poo pick two wheelies of dung morning and night (yes, four a day), soak enough hay for 3, buy 3 lots of wormers...and my farrier bill is £140 every 6 weeks or so.
And I never have enough time...(although I wouldn't be without them really).
I seriously intend to find part sharers for the two youngsters when they're broken in the next two years....do you think anyone would want to half share 4yo horses or will they just think they're nutters?

I thought they were making the game of "pull a plane with a horse" a competive sport as well so will put her name down for that as well. I knew my competition days wernt quite over! I think this horse can take me to the top!

That's something I am starting to learn as a general rule in life......Not that I like it you understand!!

I have one horse, she's injured, so I would rather like to have another (un-injured) one. No way can I afford it though so I'm planning on loaning my first one out and then buying another. In the meantime I'm riding others - I was looking for a share and was looking at paying £35 a week (!!) but I now have six horses to look after, plus mine, two of them I get to ride. Plenty! AND I get paid for them!
