can anyone recommend some nice snug leather half chap/boots combination, good enough to ride everyday in but smart enough to have lessons, clinics ect in!! any ideas???
I just got some Mountain Horse xcellsior and really like them - only to find out they've been discotinued! Typical. I wear Ariat heritage boots with them. I saw some Requisite in Robinson about £40 and they actually looked quite nice
I can give you a budget suggestion, as I had a really nice surprise when some leather half chaps arrived that I had bought on ebay for my daughter from a really bad photograph. They were by Tattini, not a brand I had heard of before, but the quality was superb, and they look fantastic on because they come high up the leg like good quality long boots.
There are some on ebay at the moment, but only in size L and XXL. They are £19.99. Anyway Tattini is a brand worth looking out for imho.
My daughter chose some Dublin jodhpur boots that go very well with them, for about £35.
Not sure about boots as i struggle to find ones i like but i love treadstep delux leather half chaps. they're elasticated in the inside but you can't tell, really smart and fit so snuggly. i compete up to novice BE in mine.
I've just bought some joddy boots, Dublin, style - Shetland Adult, in brown for £35.00. There very comfy, light weight and with a nice sole, not too rounded toe nor square. Along with some Tuffa Brown Chaps for 19.99 (not suede) but a really nice soft material...sorry can't remember the style name. Anyway there brown with the stretchy calf, zip up side and then velcro. There so comfy too, you can't even tell you've got them on and they go lovely together.....just need some browny type jods now to look colour co-ordanated, always used to have black boots and gaters.
Nice to have a change though, think I'll get a brown velvet silk for my jockey scull to match...which then means I need brown tack...a new saddle arrrrrrrrrhhh stop it stop it!!
