Want to cry, so mad at sharer!

I'm a bridle maker and I can restore scratches out of saddles, if not fully at least to the point where they are far less noticeable - have saved at least one husband's life by doing it!

I am fan of the SUMO - Shut Up & Move ON - after a workshop on this last year with work. Realised that wasted too much time & mental energy on such stuff that really was very negative and draining.

To help put things into perspective mentally ask

How annoyed/angry/******* I am on a 1 to 10 scale (with low & 10 high), then ask yourself the same question with except ask how you would feel about the same thing six months down the line. The ask the same question how would you feel about x when 10 is certain death then compare your scores.

Anyway works for me when I am getting too het up about things!

Maybe you could look at getting a cheapy wintec for sharer to use.

As same make as bates, assume there will be one with the same tree in?

Was that Paul McGee? He's fab ! I taught my kids to SUMO when they were 6 ish and it really helped! I havd to remind myself to do it sometimes ;)

This is why I make my loaners ride in a cheap synthetic and keep my nice leather dressage saddle for myself.

You're entitled to be annoyed but there wasn't much the loaner could do. Is the damage repairable?

Yep. Keep tack seperate from person to person- just make sure it all fits pone correctly. A girl shares my gelding because i went to uni ( and subsequently dropped out lol- didn't have the heart to have him back full time though) and I sold them my saddle. I still use it when I ride him but the tack is now her problemo and I can always buy it back/ get something different if and when the time comes. It isn't her fault that the tack got damaged- but I' also a strong believer that horse items should never be bought as presents for these sorts of reasons hahaha!
