Im toying with this idea and would appreciate input/ advice. I have been involved with horses for 20 years. before I had my family I worked as a groom in racing and showjumping yards. Over the years I have ridden for pleasure, bred several sporthorse foals and started a few youngsters. I love being around horses and actually quite like giving a horse a good groom and a bit of mucking out!! My two boys are at school now and Im thinking of offering to help out at a yard. Im quite isolated where I live, as in I dont really have friends to chat and part of the reason would be to meet other people and also to keep more active and fit. I know im good with horses, quiet and confident. Im a competent rider but a bit over my ideal riding weight of 10 stone at the moment tho working on that! Currently I have two youngsters who im slowly backing but due to my total lack of facilities at home im limited over winter with what I do with them.
So how would I word an ad without sounding like a numpty! Obviously I would like my travel expenses covered and cant travel too far, but my main reasons for doing this are what iv mentioned above, so I havent decided on a fair price to ask should anyone be interested.. I have my own insurance. One drawback is this isnt really a horsey area but im thinking of a 10 km radius. any thoughts welcome.
