I want to sell my 3.5 ton lorry, as I have no need for it anymore... but don't know if anyone is buying at this time of year? I don't want to waste money advertising it, but at the same time I don't really want to wait untill spring.

I haven't ever sold a box before, where would you reccomend to advertise it? Has anyone ever used ebay?

Thanks.

Ummm.. possibly not the best time to sell it, there are quite a lot to compete with at the moment. I suppose it really depends on its condition and price - if it's an absolute bargain then someone will snap it up regardless.

I sold my lorry on here - went within a week:

The best thing to do is look at what everything else is going for online, it will give you an idea of what is selling and what isn't.

I had no luck on horsemart, eventually sold my lorry on ebay. Be prepared for a lot of wierdos, timewasters and tyre kickers. Took me three months to sell my lovely little lorry.

I've just had a look on horsemart, but I'm in north yorks, so when you search about 7 pages of ad's come up... nearly all from Alexanders! I think if i did an add on there it would just get lost?

That's not good to hear about ebay, but confirms my worst fears!

I'm looking but finding difficult to buy, I sold my 3.5 ton beginging of the year within a few days of advertising on Horsemart, I also scan the ads on H&H, Horsedeals and Horsequest.

If you can i'd wait. I put mine up for sale september and had only 2 phone calls from horsemart, both wanting to know if it would take 2 17hh+ horses. I was going to try on horse and hound, but now the battery is flat, so i think i'll wait til spring, re MOT it and sell it then.
