Hi everyone...

i recently put a post on here looking for livery but still having no luck!

i have a small 14hh friendly gelding...

i am looking for flexible DIY where he can live out in the field most of the time or grass livery with option to use a stable/field shelter on a 'pay as you go' basis if any illness/lameness.

ideally i would like a sandschool or field to school in with reasonable hacking....

i hope this isnt too much to ask!!

can anyone help?

i would like to be within half an hour drive from crowthorne/sandhurst/yateley

Many thanks

xx

Have you tried the fields between the 2 roundabouts on the reading road opposite frogmore campus.
The lady who runs it (name escapes me at the mo) drives a sort of dark green jeep type 4x4 think they have a couple of stables 'just in case'.

most places round here you have to rent a stable and use it!

good luck:)

Kaluki - thank you yes i tried there a while ago but she only had a space on the proviso that i would leave if her horse who was on livery wanted to come back so i turned the place down because it didnt sound very permanent, thank you though! yes im really struggling in this area!!

Have you tried the yards up Cobbetts lane in Yateley, if not try round horse shoe lake, there's lots of little livery yards round that way.

Just what i was going to say, lower sandhurst rd loads of small yards/stables, that might be able to accomadate you. :)

also have you tried looking in Gawthorpes and shapley ranch at the notice boards, i am in shapley friday so will have a look for you.

Where is Shapley ranch? I have looked in gawthorpes and millwheels, most yards I have looked at along that road want them in at night which i can't do :(

Thanks for all your help! X

Shapley is on the A30 just the other side of Hartley whitney.
When you drive in the shop is the 3 joined stables on your right, if no one about just go in, middle door on latch someone will soon be with you. notice board is on your right as you go in tack shop. Mrs Hunter is very helpful she may be able to give you some leads.

I am leaving my current yard (Bourne End,Bucks/Berks borders) in a few weeks time. No issues with the yard, it just doesn't suit my particular needs. Although you have to have a stable, they don't insist you use it, and I happen to know that there is one livery there panicking at the prospect of no other horses living out 24/7 over the winter, as there will be no company for her horse.

They have a nice outdoor school, and plenty of secure storage - free straw, and hay from the farm available on a per net basis.
