Size 38/40 depending on make. Doesn't have to be 100% wool, mainly for summer/autumn use. Preferably no velvet on the collar. The mare is a chestnut beauty (no smirking on chestnut mares!)

I have been on the hunt for a few months now as I want to do some local showing. I am still reeling at myself for not using the buy it now function on ebay on a gorgeous today, I emailed the question to the seller last night and it was snapped by another user this morning!

Any offers/ideas/thoughts most appreciated.

:)

Stick with the ebay. One will come up.
I recently bought a blue tweed with blue velvet collar which is only slightly faded for the princely sum of £8.00

I also wanted green but this was too bargainous to pass up

Try sherwood jackets they normally come in around £45-50 and are lovely jackets - they do pop on e bay from time to time as well

I have a Shires huntingdon one which are only about £90 quid new and it's really nice. They come up on ebay sometimes too. I'd really recomend it as a nice jacket that isn't absurdly expenisve.

Also, have you tried preloved? Seems to be quite a lot of horsey bits and pieces on there you might strike it lucky.

I have looked at preloved and I will be sticking with them both. I don't think my size comes up too often.

Anoher vote for Shires Huntingdon. They look a lot more expensive than they really are.
(half velvet collar, velvet jettings, twin vents, 100% smooth wool (not hairy at all)......)

Third vote for shires huntingdon - lovely jackets and you'd never guess they weren't ridiculously expensive. I got mine for £36 brand new off ebay :D

Try the 'tack and show clothes for sale' section on horse gossip forum. I got fab pretty ponies tweed off there for my daughter for £75 instead of the £180.00 new price tag!:)
