Hey everyone... again

Im really keen to get into jumping (like bigger classes ect) but the pony i currently loan is not happy jumping at all and just goes through them bless him. I don't have access to any ponies that actually enjoy jumping or have the ability to go over 60 cm and we cant afford a pony at the minute so im wondering if there are any opportunities or advise from anyone much more experienced than myself?

Thanks in advance guys!

Wondering if there are any riding schools close to you that could help? Height is only a small part of it- rhythm, balance, positioning, striding and developing your eye don’t require height to achieve and are actually better perfected over the small stuff. Don’t consider the height you’re jumping at to be the achievement- it’s the style that counts. Much more enjoyable to ride/ watch a good round at 50cm than a sloppy one at 80!

i currently ride the youngsters for a riding school but them being only 4/5 we dont jump them over 50cm so ive done loads of little shows with them but yes i do mean working on a rhythmical round but also moving up the classes as i get more experience x

This totally, improving your riding makes you more appealing to loans that can jump higher. Volunteer for competitions, watch lessons and learn everything you can.

The secret to jumping is riding with rhythm. People seem to think that if you want to jump higher you ride to the fence faster, this is totally wrong. Keep your rhythm and be steady, support your horse & put him into the right place. Once you've done that it's up to him, he'll jump the fence or he won't. How many times do you see someone riding into a fence & then they lift the reigns as if helping the horse over the jump. Little changes with the way you ride to the fence no matter whether it's 60cm or 1m10cm. The chances of loaning a horse/pony that will jump the bigger tracks is minimal. If you want to do this you will probably have to buy or lease one.
