War General just came 2nd in the race where he collapsed after the winning line and died of a heart attack.

I didn't see that but watched the cross country chase later and very sadly Nina Carberry's ride Buailtes and Fadas who'd jumped really well, finished 3rd then collapsed and died. Happened while the winning jockey was being interviewed.
