I CANNOT WAIT !!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XyqZiknaxU
OMG! I cannot WAIT! I will be sobbing buckets, I know!![]()
TBH, my heart sank somewhat when I heard the soaring incidental music redolent of *American* rural idyll & frontier spirit. I hope I won't find that offputting when I come to watch the film. Methinks Vaughan-Williams would have been a better choice given the time and place of events (his symphonies evoke both the pastoral and the horror of war).A big no no for me, anything by Spielberg is a load of sentimental *******s. Saving Private Ryan? I'd have given him a good kicking and told him not to get lost again.
I am such a proud Mummie! My lovely 'bar maid' cob mare was the model for a lot of the actions of the War Horse. Several years ago, I could NOT understand why a choreographer who lived in our village was sitting on an artist's stool in the road, apparently sketching our horses. Then she told me she'd been studying my mare as she was so deliberate in things she did, like gnawing the inside of her fetlock, or staring into the distance and suddenly tossing her head.
When we eventually went to see War Horse I was in tears before the rest of the audience because it was just like watching my girl.
Can't wait for the movie. It should be fabulous.
