Folks, feeling a bit frustrated with the idiocy of the Hunting law tonight. We've all been very gentlemanly and restrained in dealing with this. We've all avoided making a nuisance of ourselves. We all promised and intended to hunt illegally, and most people would have gone ahead if our hunts had organized a mass law-breaking. And yet if every member of every hunt in the country announced they were going out to break the law, say, next Saturday, then we could bring the legal system to its knees to be sure. What does everyone think to this? Countryside Alliance take note.

Well I'm sorry but I blame the CA. The day of the ban the whole of the country should have gone out and hunted as normal, killing foxes with hounds.

There was so much c#ap about how we weren't going to stand for the ban and nothing came of it. If we took a leaf out of the French farmers book perhaps we would have gotten our own way.

We are treated as criminals, constantly harrassed all the while there are druggies and thieving little s#ts out there who get little more than a slap on the wrist.

the french farmers idea is a v good one. anyone else noticed how they are just a little bit lax on keeping with the b***dy EU regulations? they get exactly what they want. and they dont give a sh1t what anyone says, they will do as they please

The thing is so many hunts suggest that this season normal "illegal" practise shall resume, and many will go undetected. I think you are very right AlanE, if a mass law breaking was organised, twice the number of regulars would come out from every hunt to support this, it would be a mass law breaking with Box day numbers out in force, but will the CA ever get around to organising such a day?

"What does everyone think to this?"

Tens of thousands of hunters pledged openly to flout the law. Has a single one honoured that pledge? No guts.

I would have but the Govt decided that terrierwork was a quick humane method of fox control and decided not to ban it...........Carreg

I pledged to carry on hunting. I am. You can't stop me, the police aren't interested in stopping me and the CPS don't want to prosecute. I am happy.

Er... yes, you are all cowards - at least the tens of thousands of you you pledged to flout any ban and to do so publicly. You may indeed defy the ban but you do it in a furtive deceitful way whilst insisting that you're acting within the law. In other words, you're liars.

I am hunting in public (how else do you do it?) in exactly the same way as before the 'Ban' - you prove otherwise.

Indeed, due to the increased support for hunting and the increased numbers who attend hunts, hunting activity is more public now than ever before.

You're just bitter and twisted that after all of your campaigning, things haven't changed one jot. Laugh? I haven't stopped.

You skulk furtively around the countryside like petty criminals, which is essentially what you are. If this gives you a thrill, good luck to you.
