Sorry, not horsey! Specifically Bramcote, Beeston. Just initial enquiries for the MIL who seems quite keen after a recent break in. At 83, I think she's finally feeling her age!

Can anyone recommend a warden monitored place in the above two areas? Specific as the grandchildren are near there.

Your best bet would be to contact Broxtowe Borough Council to put her name on the Housing Register. They will also be able to advise of Housing Associations operating in the area. Be aware though that both Council and Housing Association sheltered schemes are very popular so there is likely to be an extremely long wait.

Barring that, she would need to consider a 'McCarthy and Stone' type scheme (generally properties for purchase or, in some circumstances, shared ownership) but not cheap :(
 
What each organisation offers will be different. The Council will have sheltered accommodation which will have a 'Lifeline Alarm', this connects through to a control centre (24 hr) and allows the older person to summon help in an emergency. Some of the schemes will have a Scheme Manager who will work office hours and will offer housing related support (not personal care/health care) to the residents.

Housing Associations will usually offer similar services.

Any personal/health care will need to be sourced via Adult Social Care and Health (from Nottinghamshire County Council).

The private schemes vary widely, often offering a 'menu' of services - all of which have to be paid for, obviously!
