The park is lovely, the ground was super - we didn't need studs it was perfect. Nice range of jumps nothing technical but plenty of ditches with running water, trakaeners, nice water for babies and some really big steps up/down. They jumped up onto a bank and then over a palisade type fence to a big drop and Duke decided to have a look over first then jump and left his back legs behind so has a carpet burn down the inside off hind

However we hosed afterwards and I have just brought him in and hosed again, smothered in aloe vera and bandaged back legs, left him feeling a bit sorry for himself as its a bit sore. Bandages are a bit rubbish as he stuck his leg out at a right angle for me - not very helpful

Would highly recommend Waresley, lovely gallops around outside of xc, nice sj arena and nice friendly people. If anyone is interested email wpstud@hotmail.com.

Oh! Hope horse is ok.
We were thinking about a trip to Waresley, would you think it is suitable for schooling at intro/pn level - I was concerned it was all massive great fences!

No you'll be fine, there is a baby field on the left with 2 small mounds for jumping on and off, a sunken round with ditch, a small roll top, corner and ditches with water - great for babies. And forgot to add there is a fence made entirely of black and white cows

In the bigger park there are plenty of pn fences and a smaller bank/step.

I use Waresley a lot too. There's a great indoor school as well. It's a great site for riding Club training days etc as you can literally do everything there.
The water complex has recently been re vamped and gives
several options. They have a training camp in August with Nick Turner but it's been fully booked for ages. There's a possibility they might do another one in October apparently.
