I have been trying to find some warm riding/country boots which are brown for about week now. (I really struggle with bad circulation in my toes when riding in winter.) I don't have a huge budget which puts ariats and doobries largely out of the running.

I originally fell in love with Toggi Calgary boots, but have heard they don't really last. I love mountain horse high riders but am worried they won't be warm enough for if it gets super cold over winter? Does anyone have these and find them warm?

Have also looked at Cabotswood Chepstows but not sure if they will be warm enough either... does anyone know wht they are like?

I would get some rimfrosts or similar if it weren't that they only come in black (which means I will end up saving them for best and hardly using them!!) Warm is the watchword!! :)

Thanks v much!! Cadbury's Wholenut for everyone who reads this!!! :D

Mountain Horse Boots split... Mine and 2 of my friends did anyway

I have some Toggi Canyons. They come in brown, I've had mine a year, worn very hard and when clean still look like new!

Ooooh great info, thanks G23, I really like the Toggi Canyons but again they don't say a lot about how warm they are on the website so was unsure if they'd be good or not!!

Awesome, thanks cinnamontoast - what is your local tack shop?? Do they have a website I can keep an eye on???

G23 - I meant to ask, are your Canyons good to ride in??

I'm an instructor, so out in all weathers and I think only resorted to 2 pairs of socks in the snow last year!!

Yes I do ride in mine with no probs at all.

I have the toggi calgary's and i absolutely adore them.

Great for riding in and keep your feet really warm and toasty.

i have had mine a year and a bit and they are still going strong dispite being used every single day whilst working at the yard

ooooh Kelle - that is really interesting about the calgarys.. they are what I really wanted and a bit cheaper than some but was worried they wouldn't stand the punishment or be warm enough - your experience sounds like they might be!!!

Just realised, I started all my posts so far with oooh - I promise i am not a frank spencer impersonator :D

I would definatley recommend them.

I work at a livery yard and am in them the majority of the time can walk through puddles mud etc and my feet stay dry.

I have the brown ones and when i give them a bit of a clean i wear them out hunting with my brown tweed.

Patchetts: there is a website but only as a show centre.:( If the're on sale here, tho, there must be similar sales near you?

Someone mentioned Sealskinz socks for winter-I've got Raynauds so need something serious this winter! My welly warmers did nothing for me.

Dublin Pinacle Boots. Did polo in them today and they survived me spraying a hose all over myself by accident - the only bit of me that remained dry was within my boots!

I paid £160 for them but think i was ripped off, you can get them cheaper on internet. I'm a whole size smaller in them though - even with my joules socks on xxx
