Anyone got any gloves or socks that are super warm and wont leave my toes and fingers numb?I was thinking of the battery powered ones, but they look a bit bulky for riding in...?

Battery-powered ones???!!!

Any skiing socks tend to do the trick (today I was wearing two pairs,) and Toggi do a great pair of really thick hard-wearing gloves in their 'Xtreme' range. However, because they are fairly bulky I've found they're only really suitable for hacking out.

I have bought a load of the feather socks that are about they are inexpensive, lovely and soft plus super warm but not bulky and fit in my boots easily.......even if my OH says they look like chickens on my feet!!!

I just wear a couple of pairs of my other halfs football socks

You can get insoles called 'Really warm feet' they are brilliant. Like honeycomb and seem to trap the air. Think they have them in the Shires catalogue

OH and me went to a workwear shop a while ago, got gloves and socks that are lined with the same material used to make wet suits, my toes and hands have never been so warm.

Was slightly expensive, gloves were about £30 and the socks were about £35. Was minus at the yard tonight and i was nice and toastie while others were complaining.

I've got some battery heated gloves (I suffer from Reynaulds syndrome) but the heated elements are not in the fingers only the palms of the gloves so my fingers still go numb! They are too bulky to ride in. I tend to wear 2 pairs of gloves - thin glove liners and a wool pair on top. Some of the thinsulate ski type gloves are good.
