I have got poor circulation so my hands are always cold, am now biting the bullet and looking for some gloves. I don't normally wear gloves as I always find them bulky so can anyone recommend some skin tight, thin gloves that are warm and waterproof? I tried the SealSkinz ones but didn't like them!

Thanks :)

I've got raynaulds (?) and I was going to recommend sealskins but I find the simple pimple palm stretchy gloves (the*ones you can pick up for less than a fiver) quite effective at keeping my hands warm.

With ir without gloves a slight drop in temp turns my fingers pure white and numb to touch anything. its called reynards. Never found any glives that help but fella bought me a hot rock that does help bring circukation back :) its bliss until pain of blood coming back hits arghhhhh :(

I use Ariat insulated Tek Grip to ride in when really cold (not got them out yet) as am still wearing the air grip ones I use in the summer.....

On the yard, I use thin thermal fleece gloves from the £1 shop or market & PVC gloves from wickes over the top (about £1.50). Keeps my horrible hands as warm as possible most of the time :)

Occasionally I'll wear other types, but these combi's do me, and with the Reynauds its a horror if I get my hands cold/wet

Hope you find something that suits BBH

cycling gloves FTW, mine are really thick but for yard and field work they are fine, so warm i usually end up taking them off!
they are windproof and rainproof and cost me about £5 from Aldi!

I use the thin gloves that runners wear inside something like sealskinz, or ski gloves when it's really cold but I end up taking them off every two seconds to do up headcollars, undo bolts...

The trick is to have several pairs - as soon as they get slightly damp you've had it. Layering will also keep your hands much warmer.

If you drive to the yard put them on the hot air blower by the windscreen on the way there. It doesn't last long but it's easier to keep them warm if they start warm!

I absolutely hate wearing gloves but have to for competitions, I found the ariat ones really good, you can still feel the reins through them.

I used to when I wore gloves last! I used to wear the 'magic pimple' gloves but still had cold hands :(
Faracat - thanks but they may be a bit bulky for me.
Will definitely have a look at the roeckl's and the ariats, thanks :)

Silk glove liners are really good; mine are Trek Mates, about a tenner, and they're thin enough to go even under my leather show gloves - and under the ski gloves I wear round the yard when it's proper freezing :)

I've got Reynards, I found when I worked outdoors wearing a thermal wicking base layer under my usual layers made a huge difference in my fingers staying pink so make sure your body is kept warm enough too.

I've just bought woof wear precision thermal gloves. Lovely and warm but thin and close fit enough to ride with double reins easily. Then I have seal skins for when it's wet and have the seal skin liners too for when it's really cold and wet!

Shows thermo 451 gloves are good. They are actually an industrial type glove designed for working in cold sores.
They are a little bulky but break in well.
Bought some after recommendation on another forum and really happy with them.

I slid my hand in some Tottie gloves the other day amazing fluffy linings very warm. Just not very practical colours cream and pale pink, but will def hunt out a darker pair they are about £10 on ebay
