Further to my previous post about my Warmblood with no job. I advertised and have someone coming at 2pm to meet her with a view to riding.

Fingers crossed they get on

Will let you know the result.

Well it went OK

I left the horse in the field so she could experience handling her. Everything went well enough, she tacked up, lunged and then got on.

Horse went once around with its head in the air but then settled and looked quite good from where I was standing.

The lady is not sure though, although the mare looked to have settled apparently the rider felt as if she was about to do something. I know that feeling well as my old cob always feels like that, although never actually does anything.

The lady is used to thoroughbreds and thought our horse felt very big and wide compared to the 16.2hh she is used to. She also said she felt strong, which compared to our two cobs she isn't.

The lady has gone off to think about it, so I felt OK to ring someone else who has responded to the ad. She is coming tomorrow and sounds very experienced. I explained about the lady today and told her everything the mare has ever done which did not put her off.

So fingers crossed one of them will be interested :D :D

At least the horse has not completely showed me up with any of the people who have tried her.

I asked the lady today whether she thought my ad was honest and she said yes, the mare is quirky :D :D

I have a TB and a warmblood - both 15hh, both 6 years old, both mares. They feel very different. Love both of them to bits :) She won't find a warmblood that feels like a TB IMO.....

Fingers crossed for you and hope it works out :)

Well I have got a TB who feels like a warm blood so it can be done

It can definitely be done - I do it every day. Which one is which?

Well at last some good news :D :D

A lovely lady called Rachael came to try my girl tonight. Very experienced rider and an A1. My daughter rode first and the girl behaved quite well, a bit tense but she settled down. The Rachael got on, the indoor was very busy with lots of horses and a lesson going on.

The good news is they got on really well and Rachael thinks she has real potential. Looks like she will be changing from a show horse to a dressage horse, but never mind I can do dressage groom too.

She is coming back on Thursday to ride her again, fingers crossed she wants to continue riding her.

Might have to start reading all the dressage threads in competition riders as I know absolutely nothing about dressage, other than the bling, I can do that :D :D
