warmblood vs anything irish?

My two are just the opposite of what you describe! My Dutch Warmblood gelding is a lovely, kind soul, a bit spooky but a real pocket pony who wouldn't hurt a fly. My ISH mare is forward going, sometimes stroppy, and very clever. She is great fun but not a horse I'd ever recommend for a novice rider!
 
Well I have a 16.1 ID who is what could be described as a dope on a rope.

I used to have a Hanovarion/ID who was also a bit of a dope on a rope to handle but hated plastic bags and loved to gallop when feet touched grass.

You cannot generalise but I personally would not have a TB for a novice (but that is because I like cobby types).

It's all down to personal choice really and what the horse has been used for in the past.
