As title really- need to find the warmest possible winter jacket under £100. (Can't be a long coat style as will be worn for riding too) The Joules Dakota wasnt even cosy enough for my freezing sister! Anyone know whats best? thanks

you'd get a Blazewear waistcoat for less than that (has a rechargeable battery and heated panels), i'd get 1 of those for about £60 ish and a nice ski-type jacket from TKMaxx for about £30! this is my solution for the winter and it works like a charm!

I love Toggi for the warmest coats (panache i think). Difficult to get one under £100 now but maybe a discounted place on ebay? I have never been cold in my Toggi's (I have about 5 now)

I have a down filled coat which is sooooo warm - I've had mine about 6 years and it is starting to lose some feathers now, but it's almost too warm to ride in. I would definitely recommend them!

Toggi again i am afraid i have got one whihc has lasted ages and is warm and OH who is not really outdorsy has one i brought 6 yrs ago and it washes brill and he has worn and worn it each winter when gets cold and it is a real effort to get it off him and it is soooo warm. yes they are expensive but worth it.

I have a Caldene Paris down filled jacket and it's great. Warmest thing I've ever owned

They were horrendously expensive (£180 ish) when first brought out but ECW have them at, I think, £34.99. Bargain - so much so that I've bought a spare for when my current one dies. It's lasted well so far though.

another vote fot tk maxx !!!! loads of bargains in there a decent prices as well, i got a fab pair of skiing trousers for £15 on monday !! and i know they have loads in there just now
