Heard of this sooooo many times.I notice they didnt mention the girl from newport who does this and is yet to be caught. Well as said look on SHR.

Absolutely agree. I recently had to track a former owner of a companion horse through clues about her breeding on the internet, to alert him that the horse he'd rehomed had been abandoned by its new carer.
Not his fault, even seasoned horsemen get hoodwinked by people who talk the talk.

This is awful, what sad stories!

Weirdly I had put an advert in a local paper looking for a sharer. I got a reply from someone who wanted me to let them take my horse to live in another part of the country. It was just really weird! Why would I let someone do that, who I don't even know. Anyway in the end I decided not to even get a sharer, I just have a girl at my local stables ride him now and am much happier with this arrangement. I just didn't feel I trusted anyone after that!
