One horse has died and another three have been mutilated in Bonnybridge, Stirlingshire. Police suspect "devil worshipers" have been mutilating horses for their blood to perform satanic fertility rituals. Mares genitals have been slashed and another horse's tail had been hacked at. Story in the Daily Record.
I heard about another attack in California by Falkirk (same road as my livery yard) although i have yet to find out if this is true.
Please everyone be aware, this is meant to continue until the 21st of june (summer solstice) and it will possibly get worse in the run up to this date!
I'll probably be camping out in my field as of tomorrow night so might not get on here

I saw this story too. It's sick. Absolutely sick.
I hope my mare would kick them in the head if they tampered with her lady bits.
I know what I'd like to do to these sickos
 
OMG thats terrible. Will get mum to let my YO know. They are over the other coast but you never know what nutters there are about

At least I know April probably would boot them as me and YO are only ones she lets catch her but all of the others would be at risk.

Being one of the owners of one of the mares attacked.....PLEASE if you are in the area keep your horses in or keep them close. The injuries sustained by my mare are awful. She is very ill and been moved to the vet school.

The people who are doing this are merciless. This is NOT a case of a wee cut, nor were the others, I would hate for another owner to be going through what I am at the moment :-(
 
I hope your horse recovers quickly with no after-effects.
The people that did this are deviants. Sick, sick people.

I'm absolutely shocked, I live quite close to the area it's happened and no one has mentioned anything at my yard. I've let the YO know what's happened and he's going to keep an eye out for any strange behaviour near the field. I hope your horse gets better soon, give her a hug from me

I saw this in the paper yesterday, it's horrific. These psychos ought to be shot!

Very worrying. Lily I hope your girl makes a speedy recovery.
 
This is horrible. A girl on my yard knows one of the owners and I could feel myself getting angrier and angrier will she was telling me.

Fingers crossed all the horses recover that have been injured. Hope they catch the idiots (taming my language) that have done this
 
This is horrific and very worrying.

I'm in West Lothian, so pretty close by. We had an incident of people in one of our fields videoing the horses a week or so ago. the police have been informed, and have been patrolling at random times. The people videoing the horses were in a green Y reg Citroen (don't know the model, but it was one of the smallish ones).

I hope to god that the horses attacked make full recoveries. It makes my blood run cold to even think about it.

However, I'd ask everyone to exercise caution when reading the sensationalist tabloid nonsense written about this. I'm interested to read that 'Satanists' are taking horses blood to use at the Summer Solstice on the 21st June. Hmmmm. The Summer Solstice is a Pagan festival. As a horse-owner, and a practising Pagan, I can definitely state that no Pagan would ever, ever contemplate harming any animal - it's a religion that respects nature, not destroys it. I fail to see why Satanists would be interested in anything like that!

I'm mainly concerned that horse owners will be lulled into a false sense of security - that this will all die down after the 21st of June. The perpetrators of these attacks are nothing but sickos, and unfortunately they're likely to carry on with this until they get caught. So please, everyone, continue to be extra, extra vigilant until these monsters are caught, and don't be swayed by dates bandied about in the media.

MORE ATTACKS!

These attacks are truely distrubing and i hope that all horses involved in the attack in Bonnybridge make a full recovery!!

Unfortunatley there has been another attack in Lochwinnoch, Ayrshire in the early morning of June 13th where a mare and a gelding were slashed, the mare was slashed right down her genitles.

I own a yard in a town 5 minutes from Lochwinnoch and have had some suspicious sightings reported by a couple of liveries so on the Friday night and Saturday night we are planning to keep all our horses in and ALL the lights on in the stables and the house as well as having the radio on in all our stable blocks. Luckily our yard is family run so we are also going to split into twos and 2 of us stay awake until 2am and the other 2 stay away from 2am until the morning.

So anyways thats enough out of me. Stay safe!
 
More Attacks. Two horses were attacked in their stables on Thursday 19th June in the Denny Area, a gelding was stabbed and slashed near it's genitals and the mare was also attacked.

God when will this end?
