Have got the feed at home at present, due to temp field relocation (bonfire and fireworks!). Where the feed is there are no lights, as our conservatory is mid-refurb. I'd put the buckets in there earlier and just went to get some water to soak the feed...

...put the feed in the buckets and poured water on each, THEN noticed the shadow in one of the buckets.

Turns out I'd put Henry's hoofboots in it earlier. I'd then neatly filled one boot with Veteran Vitality and soaked it therein.

Bugger.

:D

I'd quite like a hoof boot in my feed bucket, Ive been scared before by rats and mice!
In the buckets though, not in the feed

Oh I don't put my hand in anything in the dark anymore. I used to live in Africa and one night I went into the kitchen looking for a snack before bed. I had a basket where I kept loose rice and other stuff I'd brought back from the market like fruit and that. I put my hand towards it looking for a lychee or something - luckily my ex lit a candle just in time - there was a snake in the basket!

Mucky Shavings, I did find a little field mouse in a feed the other week. I'd made up three days worth of dry feeds two days before, so I hope the poor little bugger wasn't in there for two days. He looked exhausted, bless him (or maybe he'd just binged?!?).

Glad I made you all chuckle - it did me, too!
