Evening all, I hope no one has turned into a giant ice block yet :p :D.
I was just sat here wondering this eve after riding the poor gigantiuan girraffe in a blizzard this afternoon ( was VERY well behaved to my suprise :D), do you ever sit back and think
Goodness, how lucky am I to own such a beautiful animal (or two in my case :p)

I have no idea what has bought this soppyness along but I really am so thankful
to have my boys :D and I am looking forward to this summer as if all goes well I have a nice little suprise to unfold in Jun/July :D

I know my 2 are not everyones cup of tea esp Lord but I think they are beautiful :D

Yep, I am a cold sod in most areas of my life, but where our girls are concered I am soft as ****! I often just look at them and just think how beautiful they are and what really kind souls they are - just total loves!
Then I remember that oh mare used to be a total cow bag and was known for spending much of her time on her back legs at the place she was bred and broken; and that my mare was the rudest bargy thing on four legs and would only walk when ridden - she absolutly refused to work forwards! Then I feel proud too!

Yours are gorgeous, no wonder you have soft moments!

Yep I'll join the club too, I was only looking at our two this morning thinking how much I love them both, they make me laugh and smile every single day and it may be freezing but there isn't anywhere I'd rather be. I feel very honoured to be able to own such beautiful and amazing creatures xx

My horses are my world, there isn't a day I don't think how very lucky I am having them so know just where you are coming from OP. And hey, how nice is it to have a fuzzy feelgood thread to celebrate our luck.

I'm in too :D Love the boys to bits and wouldn't be without them and it's the best feeling to be this lucky, some days I feel like pinching myself :D

Your boys are gorgeous.

When I went up to pick up my mare after 10 years abstenance from horses due to young kids I cried tears of happiness and probably financial fear...

I quite often walk out to the field to get my two in and on a clear starry night I feel that all is very well with the world.......

Yes soppy or not what's the point in putting all these hours in the cold and dragging yourself through the snow if you don't, unconditional love from me tolerance because I feed her from the grumpy old lady, Only I understand that they are love bites she is trying to give when doing her rugs up!!! (Honestly) She may be grumpy and marish but wouldn't change a hair on her. Thank for letting me know I not the only soppy one around!!

Funnily enough this very morning as I got to my field and walked passed a man who was waiting for his lift and he smiled and said to me "Your horses are a LOT of work for you...." (so he must see me poo-picking all the time, etc :D) Without a second of hesitation I replied "Yep, and they're worth every single minute" then called them and they all came trotting over for a morning cuddle. Afterwards I an...alysed that my comment came straight from the heart because it was such an instantaneous response and I don't even remember thinking it before the words came out.....

Having just read Happyhorses Post RIP Dennis, I think we should all realise how Lucky we are and not forget it, Thanks for reminding me, will be dishing out extra cuddles tonight, she may even like them!!!! always hope!
