I brought the new Net-tex fly spray last week, done a skin sample on my horse, every thing was fine so i began to use the fly spray all over the horse, but now my horse has a lot of dead burnt skin hanging off from her chest & neck, very strange... but the only thing i have done different within the week is use the new Net-Tex fly spray, others at my yard also agree... I have e-mailed the company to look into this... Any one else used Net-Tex fly spray yet!!! I'll take a pic and pop it on.

A horse at my yard has also been burnt by this fly spray.

I have e-mailed the company, and would say that the owner does the same...

I've used it on both of mine with no problem & one of them is quite sensitive skinned.

Could you specify if it was the advanced or not? The advanced is extremely strong and is marketed as not for sensitive skin.

Advanced spray with 50% extra free on the bottle. Have used many, many others before now with no ill effects. Have used this spray as directed on the bottle.

Obviously allergic/senstive to one of the ingredients. Most fly sprays have different ingredients so check the labels and make sure to choose one that hasnt got any of the same ingredients in future.

I have been using the shorter acting stuff on my horse, with no ill effects yet.
Individual horses can be allergic to wide range of things - one of mine is badly allergic to teatree oil, for example.

I've used both. First of all the normal one but then one day I could only get the advanced. I did patch test it twice before using but he was fine. Mind you I generally only apply it to legs, tail & fly rug for in the field. I'll apply it all over to ride but he's generally washed off afterwards so it isn't in contact with him for long.

I hope your horse is ok.

I have used and had no problems with it. Everybody must always be aware that what suits one horse will not suit every horse. It is the reason DEET was originally replaced with Citronella, and why Citronella has now been withdrawn.
