Oh, I had one of those recently. The funny thing was, my horse was listed as 'for loan to stay on present yard' and as needing a lot of work so I was suggesting her as a 'project' for someone. Then I got this really dodgy email from someone saying they wanted to buy her and ship her to the Ivory Coast!! My husband said (*jokingly*), you should send her to them, that'll teach 'em to scam people as they'd get what they deserve!! :D

 Now I come to think of it......I wonder was he joking or not??!!

Right I don't want to sound stupid but I don't get what people get out of these scams whats the point?

I can see what another poster has said about stopping cheque on this scam but there are other scammers eg.. one about shipping horse to ivory coast where I don't see what the scammer achieves other than being a pain in the backside.

sorry if is stupid question but I have only limited experience of selling horses as I don't sell v. often.
