I took my girly out to her first stressage of 2010 this morning. This is only her 3rd party ever, and we were just doing a walk and trot today.
It all started off a bit stressful with me over sleeping, and then having to get her plaited up (with her bog pony mane that I completely didn't realise how long it was until I started plaiting!!
) and the lorry packed up in 20 minutes....
Then I realised I had no fuel and had to diesel stop too - all in all it was a bit stressful getting there!
But, as soon as we arrived, she was a little angel - particularly so as I haven't been able to ride her all week, so I had decided to go just for a bit of "fun"!!
She was a bit lively and spooky in the warm up, but the area surrounding the warm up was quite busy, and she hadn't been ridden since last sunday, but she settled quite quickly and was working nicely. Then we went down to do her test - where we found, horror of all horrors, scary white boards and flower pots!! She's never seen white boards before - so it was ummmm interesting!
She went really nicely in the test - a little bit tense at times, but the boards were new, and there was a horse right outside the school entrance that kept walking backwards and forwards which was distracting her a little!
Anyway, we got 63.9%, which I am pretty chuffed with as I have done so little schooling with her over the winter.
Insert big smiley faces here!!
Sorry no pics as I have to go to comps on my own and have no helpers - but I can assure you she was very beautiful and shiny!!
Cookies and hot chocolate for those who made it this far!!
