YES YES YES I GOT TO RIDE TODAY!!!!
HA ha wonderful lovely British rain washed away enough snow so that I could take my horsey for a walk and trot ride around the block. He hadnt been ridden since Sunday last, and I was quite nervous about getting on as I had cleared a path over the icy gravel for us too walk through but I did think he might stick his head between his legs and buck when I got on.
So anyway I tacks up get step thing, get on, Dougal stands perfectly still I take up contact and off we go, no bucks, squeals or anything and he was VERY fit before the freeze. so we stride down the drive over some slightly dodgy icy bits and down the road.
Both of us got soaked, very cold and it wasn't fast enough for either of us BUT it was GREAT. Ears pricked the whole way around and no silly business. I love my horsey! gave him a huge feast when I got back and a big cuddle.
Hopefully, fingers crossed, no snow tonight so I can get him back going again.
anyone else get to ride?
